In this exclusive Big Bells Digital interview, Armonium opens up about their journey from long-time friends to international producers, their creative process, and their experience performing worldwide — including their recent appearance at Majestiium Experience in Dubai.

Origins of Armonium — Friendship Turned Into a Melodic Techno Project

(1) Hey guys. Welcome to Big Bells Digital, we are super happy to have this interview with you. So, Armonium — a name that already evokes balance and connection. Can you tell us how the two of you met and how this musical partnership was born? Hey Big Bells Digital! Thanks a lot for the invitation — we're really happy to be part of this and to talk about our journey as Armonium. Armonium was born from a long friendship. The two of us, Borja and Ekaitz, have known each other for over 15 years and have always shared a deep connection through music. Ekaitz started producing more than a decade ago, and little by little Borja became interested as well — sharing ideas, learning, and experimenting with sounds along the way. Even though we came from different paths within electronic music, that creative chemistry was always there. During our separate journeys, we made many tracks together — mostly in a style called bumping — until we finally decided to join forces and create something bigger. That's how Armonium came to life: born from friendship, shared passion, and the desire to make music that truly connects and moves people.

Influences That Shape Armonium’s Melodic Sound

(2)  Which artists or musical movements have most inspired Armonium’s style and creative direction over the years?

We're inspired by artists and movements that treat music as an emotional language. From Melodic Techno and Progressive House pioneers like ARTBAT, Tale Of Us, Anyma, and Stephan Bodzin, to broader influences like Jean-Michel Jarre and Hans Zimmer, who know how to turn sound into a fully immersive experience. We're also very drawn to the Afterlife movement, where music, visuals, and storytelling come together as one. That's exactly what we aim for with Armonium — to create atmospheres that transport the listener to another state of mind.

The Story Behind “Reality” — Armonium’s Emotional Debut Track

(3) Your debut track, “Reality” introduced listeners to your emotional and melodic world. What’s the story behind it, and what message did you want to share through this first release?

"Reality" was born as a way to express a feeling rather than tell a story. From the very beginning, we wanted it to evoke that sense of reconnecting with yourself — that quiet moment when you stop and really feel what's happening inside. Through its melodies and textures, we wanted to create an experience that invites listeners to close their eyes and drift away. It's a track that perfectly represents Armonium's essence: emotion through sound and a deep connection without the need for words.

“Un poco de amor” — Evolution Through Emotion and Sound

(4) Your upcoming track “Un poco de amor” seems to represent an evolution in your sound. How does it connect to “Reality” — and what can fans expect from this new chapter?

"Un poco de amor" is a natural continuation of "Reality," but with a brighter and more emotional focus. If "Reality" was introspective, "Un poco de amor" looks outward — it speaks about the transformative power of love, not only in the romantic sense but as an energy that drives and unites us. The song is a remix of a track by our friend Khris Erian. We loved the original message and felt we could bring it into our own world, giving it that melodic and atmospheric touch that defines Armonium. Even though it's a remix, it clearly reflects an evolution in our sound: more organic elements, a stronger vocal presence, and a more expansive energy. Fans can expect a new stage where we continue exploring emotion, but with a more solid and confident sonic identity.

From Spain to Dubai — Performing at Majestiium Experience

(5) You’ve recently brought your vision to stages like Dubai’s Majestiium Experience. How has this journey — from Spain to international stages — influenced your artistic growth and the way you connect with audiences worldwide?

The Majestiium Experience in Dubai was an incredible milestone for us. Not just because of the event's scale, but because of the cultural exchange — sharing our music with people from all over the world and seeing how they connected with it was truly special. It made us realize that music really transcends language and borders. Traveling from Spain and experiencing that international more motivation to keep building a project with purpose — one where every show becomes an emotional and energetic experience.
