A Night to Remember: Darin Epsilon, Adnan Jakubovic and Rewave Take Over Silver & Smoke Club, Sarajevo

On Saturday, April 4th, 2026, the underground heart of Sarajevo was beating louder than ever. Silver & Smoke Club — tucked away in a passage off Zelenih Beretki Street in the old town — once again opened its doors to a night of pure, uncompromising electronic music, and Big Bells Records artist was right at the centre of it.

This wasn't just another gig. It was a reunion of sounds, souls, and a shared love for the underground — featuring none other than Darin Epsilon from Berlin as headliner, our Adnan Jakubovic on warm-up duties, and Sarajevo's own DJ Rewave closing out the night into the early morning hours. The Lineup

The evening unfolded in three distinct chapters, each with its own energy and character:

23:00 – 02:00 | Adnan Jakubovic (Warm-Up)

I had the privilege of setting the tone for the night with a three-hour warm-up set. Starting deep and hypnotic, I gradually built the energy across progressive and melodic house textures. It was also the perfect testing ground — I road-tested several upcoming Big Bells Records releases on the Silver & Smoke crowd, and the response was electric. When unreleased tracks get heads nodding and hands in the air in a room like this, you know they're ready for the world.

02:00 – 04:00 | Darin Epsilon (Headliner)

Then the man of the hour took over. Darin Epsilon — Chicago-born, Berlin-based, and widely regarded as one of the true pioneers of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive House — delivered a masterclass behind the decks. With over two decades of experience, releases on labels like Katermukke, Einmusika, Sudbeat, and Renaissance, and a Beatport "Best Progressive House Artist" nomination under his belt, Darin needs no introduction in the underground world. He also runs the acclaimed Perspectives Digital label and holds a residency at Berlin's iconic Ritter Butzke.

This was his fourth time performing at Silver & Smoke, and based on what he's said publicly about the club, it's clear why he keeps coming back. He's praised Silver & Smoke as one of the few venues left that's focused purely on music and good vibes, without the noise of hype or gig swaps. Just real underground culture.

04:00 – 06:30 | DJ Rewave (Closing Set)

Sarajevo local and Silver & Smoke resident Rewave took the reins for the final stretch, guiding the dancefloor through the early morning hours with a closing set that kept the energy alive until well past sunrise.

If you haven't been to Silver & Smoke, put it on your list. Open since 2015, this club has earned its reputation as Sarajevo's premier destination for deep, progressive, and melodic electronic music. The room is intimate, the sound system hits hard, and the crowd — this is the key — actually comes for the music. No pretence, no phones-in-the-air culture. Just people who genuinely love and respect underground electronic sound.

Sarajevo's electronic music scene has deep roots. In a city that used rave culture as a form of resilience and unity in the post-war years, clubs like Silver & Smoke carry that spirit forward. It's a place where international headliners and local talent share the same stage, the same energy, and the same dancefloor.

Looking Back, Looking Ahead - Big Bells Digital

With over 20 years behind the decks and performances across Europe from Amsterdam Dance Event to clubs in Stuttgart, Leipzig, Luxembourg, and beyond, every show still feels like a new chapter. Nights like this one in Sarajevo remind me exactly why we do what we do. The underground is alive, the music connects, and the community keeps growing.

A massive thank you to the Silver & Smoke team for the flawless organisation, to Darin Epsilon for another unforgettable headlining performance, to DJ Rewave for holding it down until the morning light, and most importantly, to every single person on that dancefloor who made the night what it was.

See you next time, Sarajevo. The bells are still ringing.
