It takes place annually in October in Amsterdam and attracts thousands of music lovers, artists and industry experts from all over the world. Together, we celebrate every genre and form of electronic music in the heart of Amsterdam. The city is slowly turning yellow and black, which means it’s time to finalize your schedule. ADE has listed a selection of events with free access, where listening, dancing, and connecting on the dance floor is for all to enjoy.
The event has more than 1,000 events in nearly 200 locations across its multidisciplinary program of five days and nights. With a record number of 500,000 visitors in 2024, during ADE Amsterdam truly breathes electronic music. ADE is both a music conference and festival and is widely recognized as the global meeting point for the creative industry around electronic music.
Amsterdam Dance Event since 1995
Amsterdam Dance Event began in 1995, in 3 clubs, and has expanded to a huge event with hundreds of artists in almost 100 clubs in Amsterdam. The event has become one of the largest annual events in Amsterdam. ADE has announced its full line-up for its 2025 edition. Kicking off later this month, from October 16 to October 20, 2024, ADE will host over 3,000 acts. 1,000 events and over 200 venues. The Dutch governmental rules state that below the age of 18 are not allowed to enter a club. What is the Dutch dance called?
In the East of the Netherlands dances like Driekusman, Hoksebarger, Veleta, Kruispolka
and the Spaanse Wals share the origin with German dances, but some are even danced in countries further away, like Poland and Lithuania. Or at least using the same melodies. The actual dance may differ. A five-day ADE conference ticket allows entrance to the full conference, festival, and playground program for the entire duration of ADE.
